Tribute to Jesushadherpes

Jake arrived in heaven. To his surprise, there was no line, no pearly gates, just him. "Hello" he shouted. In response he heard nothing but a dull echo of his own voice. In his puzzled state he just started walking forward. There was a hollow slapping sound with each step like he was walking in a courthouse or an empty school. He looked down at the ground noticing it for the first time. Stopping he looked at what appeared to be clouds, yet sounded like marble tile. He looked up from where he had stopped and looked around for a sign of anything in the foggy abyss in which he has been walking. He pivoted slowly turning in a circle. When he got halfway around he stopped and looked back at the way he had traveled studied it. When he found that nothing had changed he turned around and went to walk, but ran into a person. With a small shout of surprise he fell down on his aft end. Sitting there he looked up trying to see who the person was with the glow of what he thought to be the sun in his eyes all he saw was a shadowed figure. Standing back up, he looked at the man again and only then did he realize who it was. "So I have herpes huh?" Jesus said with a chuckle. Before Jake had time to speak Jesus reached out his arm and within his hand was a skateboard. "I believe this is yours" Jesus said handing the board to him. He looked down at the skateboard and when he raised his head back up everything around him had changed. Instead of the nothingness he saw before now lay the best skate park one could imagine as far as the eye could see. When he looked at Jesus to say something he was gone, but a voice remained speaking to him. "This is what you were meant to do. You will have answers later, but for now just skate."

Chapter 1: Where Am I?

He awoke from a scream. He couldn't tell if the scream was from him or someone else. He tried to sit up, but his head was spinning and he fell back on the ground. "Where am I?" he thought as he tried to make the ceiling stop spinning. After a few minutes he was able to sit up without falling back, but blood filled his ears and his head pounded with every heartbeat. He felt his body. Minus the throbbing in his head he seemed to be fine. "Ok lets focus, Where am I and how did I get here?" The second he tried to think hard his head exploded with agony. He grabbed his head and screamed, which only seemed to make it worse. He fell back on the floor, his skull making a sicking thud. his vision faded to black and he slept.

When He awoke his headache had subsided a great deal, but his head still felt as if it had been hit with a large rock. He felt the back of his head where now dry blood clotted his hair. When he sat up noticed the room for the first time. A room made of stone. it reminded him of an extremely small basement. A ten by ten room with no windows and a heavy riveted steel door. The only light was a bare lightbull that hummed and flickered. He noticed a cot in far corner of the room almost opposite to the door. He looked to his left and saw a bucket with flies gathered around it. The bucket he assumed was used as a bathroom. "Nice accommodations" he chuckled in the darkness at his own black humor. He heard the scuffling of feet outside the door that seemed to stop on the other side. There was three taps on the door and a small panel slid open about halfway up the door and trey of food was put on a little shelf sticking out of the door itself. He stood up and ran at the door. "Where am I!?!" He shouted and banged at the steel and whoever was on the other side. There was no response.
He screamed again.
Still no answer.
After a few seconds he heard the feet fade into nothing. "Damn" he said and hit the door. There was a small click of plastic hitting metal and for the first time he looked down at the food. As he did so he realized how hungry he was. He grabbed the plate and took it back to the cot. He studied the contents of the trey in his hands. A bowl filled with what he thought to be porridge, a hunk of stale bread and a small plastic cup filled with some horrid looking water. "I'm not eating this," he thought with disgust but after a few minutes of sitting his bellowing hunger overtook his body and he ate the small portions of food within a matter of seconds. He heard a voice behind him "Hey" the voice scared him causing him to jump dropping the trey on the ground with a dull hollow sounding thud. He turned around hesitantly to see nothing but the wall. "Who said that?" he replied his voice shaking. "Over here." as the man on the other side finished talking a finger poked through a small hole in the wall. He approached the wall putting his eye to the hole to see another mans face. His voice was ragged, as was his face. The mysterious man had a dull gaze and looked like he hadn't slept in ages. The old man spoke with a soft voice "So want to know what this place is?"
